New User: Rithmic Data: NT8

Hello.
I'm browsing the website to sign up for BookMap to stream it through NT8.
I have Rithmic data for the FullDom.
I have found this video which shows me how to "installs and load the indidcator" to get bookmap to display on NT8 however I can not find the "indicator" itself nor do I find the link to do so.
I am not yet subscribed to Bookmap.

Do I need to first subscribe to bookmap then this option will become available to me?

Please help and guide.  Thank you.

Hi T_Trader,
I am using the same combination of tools as yourself i.e. NT8, Bookmap and Rithmic as a datafeed.

Rithmic provides 2 simultaneous logins, so you can connect using NT8 AND Bookmap at the same time. In this case, you do not need an indicator running on NT8 to feed data to Bookmap. Technically this is the preferable solution as otherwise, one is just adding an extra unnecessary layer(NT8 in this case).

When Bookmap starts, it does the authentication, so I think you would need a valid Bookmap license or maybe atleast a demo license to view data in Bookmap.

  Hope this helps.

@SDG,

Thank you for the reply.
So, just so I'm clear.  I need to purchase the monthly option to Bookmap, utilise my connection information to my broker, plug that into bookmap, then off we go on... bookmap interface (?) or will it be on NT8 interface?

If someone could just give me the link to get started that would be beneficial.

I'm attempting to get here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpSt-sX2GR4 with my platform and working.

Hi T_Trader,
Yes, from the Bookmap interface. You "may" need to ask your broker to allow access from Bookmap too.

NT8 access(as you normally do) will also work in parallel as Rithmic allows 2 simultaneous connections. The video you linked is relevant ONLY IF

1. You DO NOT want to connect to Bookmap directly. For e.g. your data provider only allows one connection, e.g. Kinetick, CQG etc
2. You have Rithmic, which allows 2 connections, but MAYBE you are using the 2nd connection already for some other platform

Hello again SDG, it really does help, thank you.
I would actually like to first attempt to connect directly through NT8, then seperate try to run the Bookmap.  I"ve heard Bookmap itself can be rather CPU intensive and I would like to be able to run data on 24 hours each of the same amounts of volume and volatility prior to making a hard decision of how or which platform/interface I would prefer to run it on.
I also need to get in direct touch with BM staff for a personal LLC question and need to clarify some things with them.  Do you know how I would go about that?

Cheers and thank you so much for the responses!

Hi T_Trader,
I think, someone from  Bookmap will pick this up tomorrow. Also you can try contacting [email protected] directly.

T_Trader,
you're asking about this video I guess.
Some upgrades: Bookmap is no longer in C:\Program Files (x86) but in C:\Program Files so the indicator path is C:\Program Files\Bookmap\NT
Plese check this folder with an explorer and let me know if the folder "NT" exists and what files are there.

Hi everyone,
Just to add a bit to what was said:
- the files will appear after bookmap is installed. You don't need to activate/purchase anything in order to get the files, just install Bookmap.
- the route video describes is connecting bookmap through Ninja (BM<-->NT<-->Rithmic). It's not recommended, whenever possible it's best to use direct connection from Bookmap (BM<-->Rithmic) which is supposed to be faster and more stable. If you want to minimize amount of data bookmap receives/processes - enable aggregation in Rithmic connection settings within bookmap. That will make data less detailed, but will make data significantly lighter - depending on your setup and hardware it might be a good compromise.

No I am sorry that is not the video I'm looking for.  Thank you for trying though.  I wish BookMap had a phone number ugh.
