I know that there is at least one other software that will draw a line back to the point where the iceberg was entered into the book (order submission time point), once an iceberg is detected (detection time point). I think that would be hugely helpful if Bookmap can do that also.
Often the original time point when an iceberg was entered in the book gives a clue about the intention of the person that put in the order. Maybe it coincides with a spoofing order on the other side of the book. Maybe it coincides with the completed execution of another iceberg order, so one could assume that this is the same person putting another order in. Maybe the order was entered at a key decision point in the market, like a news release, maybe with a lot of other icebergs, which would indicate some transition of market structure at this point. Maybe the iceberg was entered right at the open, indicating another kind of market participant than other iceberg orders.
