user and license

Post by mdtrader » Wed Nov 21, 2018 3:18 pm

Hi,
is it possible to receive some informations about the user or license so I can make sure only specific users can use my code and not moving the jar file to others?

Thanks

Hi all,
I would like to extend this request because it will become more important with individual codings around the Bookmap API:

Assume one programmer is developing a useful indicator for Bookmap. How can he protect his work to prevent unallowed duplication of his .jar files?

Does Bookmap has a process in place, where a developer can offer his indicator as a subscription service via Bookmap? Bookmap can take a subscrption service charge for managing the deployment and presence on BMs website.

Such questions and more will become more and more important as Bookmaps API invite developer to code for the product.
Best
Walter

the easiest way for me would be a function, say getLicensePart() and returns the first or last 8 digit of the user license, this way there is no problem for the user to share part of the key with me and I can easy verify the user

We plan to automate the process, however, at this stage it is manual.
To learn the process see: https://www.bookmap.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76
