Dear zcsoka, could you include an alert in this indicator(Pace of Tape)? I'm not asking for anything complicated, I just want it to make a sound when it reaches the maximum level that turns completely red (although if it can be a voice alert that includes the name of the asset, it would be more practical)

Thank you, I hope you respond to my request, I appreciate it.

Dear Bettyroles,

Please find attached a version with an alert. You can enable/disable the alert and define the text you want to hear. There is a variable, $INSTRUMENT, which will be replaced by the instrument name. To give you full flexibility, you can also rename the Instrument in the settings.
To avoid quick consecutive alerts, there is a suppression mechanism and you can define the Alert Suppress Seconds to avoid quick consecutive alerts within the defined time interval. The new version can be downloaded here:

Please let me know how it works and if it is what you imagined.

Hello Zcsoka,

Thanks for your good work.

As a useful addition to PoT, may I suggest a (configurable) sound signal that would be related to the absolute value, and would increase frequency as the value goes up (like the sound in market pulse for example)

thanks

Kader

Great idea, many thanks for that. In a month I will start modernizing the plugin and I will take it on the list as well.

- Adapted to Bookmap 7.6
- Improved color picker to use built in color settings
- Improved alerts. Created configurable alert text and popup.
- Integrated with Bookmap's Alert system (File -> Alerts)
Bug Fixes:
Some fields in the configuration did not update on leaving the field and needed an enter, it has been fixed.

Hi Zcsoka,

Nice add-on. Just started to use it.

I'm facing an issue of PoT not starting when saved workspace is loaded on Bookmap startup.
It is checked at add-on configuration, but I need to go and click the "Start PoT Meter" at settings every time to get it to appear.
Is this intentional?
Would be nice to have it start along with the workspace.

Another question:
What is the PoT value exactly?
I've used to use lots per second as an meter (and additional separated lots/sec for bid and ask) to compare the pace to liquidity on book and how quickly liquidity is been eaten at the very moment.
If I set Bar Interval to one sec, does it show me lots per second then or is it based on something else?

Greetings,

It is half intentional, that it is not opening automatically, since it is displaying a detached window in Bookmap. The PoT is an add-on and it is not supposed to act on Bookmap start. I hope it is not a big problem, if it is, please get back to me and let's see if we can find a way to show it at startup.
Regarding the mechanism, it is based on the volume traded in a certain period of time. If you set 1 sec, you will get the 1 sec volume. The loopback is used for the average calculation to detect the speed of the tape.

OK,

I though as it has "Auto enable" and "Auto load" enabled, it would be started in startup.

I wouldn't call it a big problem, but definitely to achieve fluent UX an auto start along with saved workspace would make it much better.
