MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence Indicator)

The indicator is an implementation of Gerald Appel's MACD from the 1970s. 

The indicator shows the convergence and divergence of a short and a long term EMA (Exponential Moving Average). The indicator also features a Signal line, which is an EMA of the MACD itself and a histogram, which displays the difference of the MACD and the Signal line in bar histogram form.


The Configuration


Bar Interval: The time interval for the EMA calculations (1, 2,5, 10, 30 seconds, 1, 5, 15 minutes)
MACD Long period: Long EMA period for the MACD (round number)
MACD Short period: Short EMA period for the MACD (round number)
Signal period: EMA period for the Signal line (round number)
Line type: Line type for all lines (solid, short dash, long dash, dot, dot-dash)
Line width: Line width for all lines
Colors: Color configuration for all indicator components.
 

Hello, I get the following error when trying to add the MACD indicator: Error Information, most of the API modules are not allowed for this instrument. I have Global+, platform version 7.5.0 build 19, data is ESU4.CME@BMD

Could you please let me know which dat feed you are using? Have you downloaded the plugin from the Marketplace? It seems to be a signing issue, if you give me the data feed, I can check with Bookmap what the issue might be. 

Hi yes, Im using the Bookmap Data for CME (full symbol is ESU4.CME@BMD). I downloaded the indicator directly from the marketplace. I also have the EMA zones and Heikin Ashi candles add-ons and those worked successfully. Only MACD seems to give the API error.

All indicators are now successfully working! Thank you for the quick support!

I am releasing and updated version of the plugin, the release notes and the new plugin is below. 
The user guide and the version in the Marketplace is not updated yet, but please feel free to test the new version and give me feedback
