I am considering how to incorporate Bookmap into my daily trading, so deciding on a plan, etc. at the moment. One feature that appealed to me was the integrated journaling; however, I contacted customer service to ask about making journal entries and was surprised to learn that the only way to do so was to use configure Bookmap to enter the trades made through the platform. So only trades made from here forward would hit the journal.
It seems like an obvious and important shortcoming that you can’t import previous trades into the journal by any method and that only trades made through the platform would ever be entered. I assume that this is something that literally everyone would want to do. Also, the fact that you must trade through the Global+ package to use the journal is also frustrating. It seems like anyone looking at Bookmap must already be somewhat seasoned and have a track record using a trading platform that they are likely comfortable with, so many people will want to use Bookmap for the excellent data presentation but still execute trades with their brokers.
So the feature request would be to add a manual trade entry option as well as the ability to import trades exported from different trading platforms.
