MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
I've enabled stop & iceberg alerts for a number of symbols but none of them trigger, even though the values pass the thresholds I've set. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm subscribed to a few symbols, some of them with thresholds as low as volume >= 10 within 60 seconds, and I still get no alerts.
I'm not getting them in the text alerts window either, even though the bid/ask imbalance alerts show up without any issue. The imbalance voice alerts work as well, so it's not a sound issue.
I also want to mention that there's a spelling mistake in the UI - "Apply this threshold on indicatos's values" instead of indicator's. Could you clarify what that checkbox does, I didn't understand its purpose from the documentation page.
I'm using these accumulation settings for all symbols:
Latest Bookmap build & latest MBO build on WIndows 10
Edit: Thank you for all your responses to the threads I've opened & emails I've sent so far! You've done a great job with Bookmap!

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Here's another cleaner example.
I noticed that I'm using version 3.1.4, I just downloaded the latest version from the link in the, although the actual link says 3.1.1, I'm guessing the UI is wrong there.

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Thanks for moving the thread to the appropriate section.
I wanted to update you with some new information - today I got a few sound alerts from the SI indicator for the first time. You can see the alerts in the image below.
I only got MBO alerts for the ES@Rithmic instrument, even though other symbols had passed their alert thresholds. I spent some time looking at the SI indicator settings, and I noticed that for ES I have entered the following 2 settings:

- I have enabled the SI setting "Apply this threshold on indicator's values"
- in the order book imbalance addon I have disabled sound & text notifications
Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Hi @latnemele, can you please clarify what are the other instruments? I want to be sure that those are CME instruments and their data is via Rithmic (that's the only data compatible with SIT).
The checkbox "Apply this..." allows to choose a different alert trigger. If selected, instead of using the condition described above the checkbox, the trigger will be: corresponding indicator crosses a threshold upwards (or crosses minus the threshold downwards). Use the same "volume" field to define the threshold. This may be useful if you to estimate visually the expected frequency of the alerts
I'll continue with problem #1 after your confirmation

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Hi @Serg, yes they're all CME instruments with Rithmic data. Examples: NQ, YM, RTY, CL, ZT, ZF, ZN, ZB...
The SI indicator itself is working fine, I'm seeing the stop and iceberg orders for every single one of the instruments I'm subscribed to, but the voice / text alerts do not work as expected.
Here's an example with CL - you can see the stop runs and iceberg orders being detected by the SI indicator, there are several runs & icebergs above/below the 49 threshold which I've set for alerts but I don't get any alerts. I've posted my stop alert settings for CL below. I scrolled through the whole text alerts window and the only alerts there are for ES. For some reason the ES alerts work fine, even though they use the exact same settings as all other symbols.
Let me know if you need anything else, I'm keeping all feed files, I can also send you any of the config files from the bookmap root folder if that'll make things easier for you.
I use Bookmap 7.1.0 build 53.
OS info - Windows 10 Pro
Version 20H2,
OS Build 19042.572
Regarding the "Apply this..." checkbox thanks I think I got it. As far as I understood the checkbox basically will ignore the 2nd input (within 0.5sec) and trigger an alert if the stops go over 49, no matter the time interval, is that right?

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
After posting this message I saw that I started getting alerts for CL.
Then I opened the SI indicator settings for NQ, changed the threshold from 10 to 11, and started getting alerts for it as well. Looks like the bug is not in the alerts, but the alerts settings not being taken into account after bookmap is launched and a saved workspace is opened
Do I have to manually update the SI settings every time I relaunch bookmap? I expected bookmap to keep the old workspace settings (and it does) but maybe the alerts are not active on launch even though the SI indicator itself is active.

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Hi @serg
Did you manage to reproduce the bug?
For other users who experience the same problem, here's a workaround to get SI alerts to work:
Every time you restart Bookmap and load a saved workspace, go through every single bookmap tab / window, click on the SI indicator settings and make a change. Doesn't matter what the change is, the alerts will start working after that. You have to repeat that for every symbol.
I usually just change the sound levels for every symbol.

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Hi @latnemele, thanks for posting this issue as I'm on the same versions of BookMap and SI (and using same SI settings) as you and experiencing the same issue. I've tried your workaround and unfortunately I'm still unable to get any SI alerts to work at all.

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
Hi @JamesH,
Scott Pulcini (he's done a few amazing walkthrough videos on the SI addon & how to use it) emailed me that he was informed by the bookmap team about a bug in the latest version of the SI plugin. He recommended downgrading to the previous version of the SI addon - version 3.0
@Serg could you please confirm that downgrading to the previous version is the recommended solution?
For future issues like this, should I open a ticket with support instead of a forum thread?

Re: MBO bundle voice & text alerts bug
@JamesH I contacted support regarding this issue, and they told me that it's a known bug and gave me a Google Drive link to the working version. Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/129J71w ... sp=sharing
I'm a bit disappointed in the way Bookmap has handled this issue:
I'm a bit disappointed in the way Bookmap has handled this issue:
- The broken SI version was not rolled back
- Even though they knew the last version has a bug that affects trading, users were not alerted even though we pay monthly for the SI addon
- This thread has been up for a month with no response from the Bookmap team
