Inside the #BookmapDesk Trading Setup Competition: Meet the Winners

Inside the #BookmapDesk Trading Setup Competition: Meet the Winners

Traders spend hours at their desks—so it’s no surprise that many put just as much care into crafting their workspace as they do into reading the tape. Earlier this year, we launched the #BookmapDesk competition and invited our community to show us where they trade.

The rules were simple: post a photo of your trading setup on social media using the hashtag #BookmapDesk, and you could win cash prizes and access to Bookmap Global+ with data. We were blown away by the entries. Some were sleek and minimal, others looked like full-on trading command centers—and a few came with pets that clearly don’t miss a market move.

Here’s a look at the winning setups and what we loved about each one.

What Was the #BookmapDesk Competition?

We asked traders to share a photo of their current desk setup—no matter how big or small. Whether you were trading from a multi-monitor rig or a kitchen counter, we wanted to see how you made your space work.

The prizes:

  • 1st Place: $1,000 USD + 1 year of Bookmap Global+ with data (1 exchange)
  • 2nd Place: $500 USD + 1 year of Bookmap Global+ with data (1 exchange)
  • 3rd Place: 3 months of Bookmap Global+ with data (1 exchange)

Beyond the cash, Global+ is Bookmap’s most powerful tier, giving traders access to key features like:

  • Execution and simulated trading from the chart
  • One-click order placement
  • Full customization options
  • Support for add-ons like Stops & Icebergs, Liquidity Tracker, and more
  • Compatibility with MBO data for detailed order flow insight

Combined with real-time data for one exchange, it’s a serious toolset—especially for traders looking to sharpen their execution and make smarter decisions.

1st Place: MikeM — Professional, Clean, and Built for Focus

MikeM’s desk setup is a masterclass in organization and purpose. With an impressive array of monitors forming a semi-circle around his workspace, it’s clear this layout was designed to keep everything within view without overwhelming the screen space.

What stood out most? The addition of a dedicated learning section—a separate area focused on reviewing educational material and trade recordings. It’s a subtle touch that signals discipline and continuous improvement, two qualities any successful trader relies on.

Why it won:

  • Multi-monitor layout with clear separation of tasks
  • Strong ergonomics and visibility
  • Bonus educational station shows this is more than just a trading desk—it’s a full-time setup

2nd Place: John412 — Focused Command Center with Smart Space Use

John412’s entry was all about balance. A clean, efficient layout with just enough screens to cover multiple markets, but not so many that it felt chaotic. The monitors are well-positioned for comfort, and each one clearly serves a purpose—Bookmap, DOMs, execution platforms, and analysis.

This setup shows how traders can be intentional with their gear. It’s not about having the most hardware—it’s about knowing how to use it.

Why it won:

  • Great use of space without overcomplication
  • Ergonomic screen placement for long trading sessions
  • Everything needed, nothing extra

3rd Place: Justin — Dual Desks, Clean Lines, and Canine Support

Justin didn’t just submit a desk—he submitted a trading corner. With two complete setups side by side, his space shows how multiple Bookmap instances can be used in tandem for serious multitasking. One screen tracks the market, another handles execution, and the rest? Monitoring various products, timeframes, or add-ons.

And yes, the dogs stole the show. They may not be trading futures just yet, but they’ve clearly got an eye on price.

Why it won:

  • Clean setup across two desks
  • Logical screen distribution for tracking and execution
  • Bonus points for the best co-traders in the competition

More Great Setups (and What’s Next)

While only three prizes were awarded, we saw dozens of creative and practical desk setups that deserve recognition. Check out the other submissions here.

If you missed this round, keep your eye out for upcoming community competitions. And if you’re building your own Bookmap desk? Consider what these traders nailed: clarity, purpose, and a layout that supports better decisions.

Conclusion

Your trading desk isn’t just where you sit—it’s where you focus, react, and improve. Whether you’re trading a single product or scanning dozens, your setup should support the way you think and act in the market.

Thanks again to everyone who shared their workspace with us. The Bookmap community continues to grow—and it’s full of traders who take their craft seriously.
