dxFeed Data And Backfill Data Issues

Backfill Data Issues

  1. Check your internet connection. Ensure it's at least 25Mbit/s.
  2. Check your Bookmap version. If issues are resolved after upgrading to the latest version. Watch this video guide to learn how to upgrade your Bookmap version.

No More Backfill Data Is Allowed By The License

Your license restricts the amount of Backfill Data you can download, and you've reached that limit.

Receiving Shorter Historical Data?

If you're only seeing '1-hour cloud' data instead of the '24 hours cloud' data you've paid for, consider these potential reasons:

  1. License Issue:
    • Your Bookmap might not be set up with the correct license, limiting the data to just 1 hour. This could be a monthly error; you might need to restart Bookmap post-license update.
  2. dxFeed Server Issue:
    • You might get 'cloud data' for a stock but with missing data. Messages like "Cloud data time out" could pop up.
  3. Exchange Limitations:
    • If requesting data outside trading hours, it's possible the exchange doesn't provide data at those times. If the data isn't available for a specific timeframe, requests for it will be empty.
  4. Bookmap Handling of the Data
    • Your PC stores data locally as well, which gets priority over cloud data from dxFeed when re-accessing an instrument. Interruptions in your connection could create data gaps. To ensure fresh cloud data, delete files in C:\Bookmap\Data and re-subscribe to the instrument.
